Northwest Georgia Public Health provides a range of environmental health services. It serves Bartow, Catoosa, Chattooga, Dade, Floyd, Gordon, Haralson, Paulding, Polk and Walker counties in Georgia. The department offers physical evaluation, inpatient and outpatient hospitalization, diagnostic testing, medical treatments and dental care services for children. It assists senior citizens and disabled individuals with personal care, housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping and transportation services. Northwest Georgia Public Health coordinates with Fit to Eat, which is a restaurant that was developed in partnership with the University of Georgia Department of Foods & Nutrition and the Floyd County Health Department. Its specialty care clinic provides case management, laboratory monitoring, tuberculosis screening and medical consulting services.
