The Mountain Park Aquatic Center, located on Rockbridge Road just west of Five Forks-Trickum Road, is one of nine pool facilities operated by the Gwinnett Parks and Recreation Department. The center features an outdoor water park (open Memorial Day to Labor Day) and two indoor pools.
The popular water park has a two-story water slide, a lazy river and shallow play areas. There is plenty of deck room for sunbathing, and several large umbrellas to get out of the sun.
Inside, a large competition/lap pool has room for lap swimming, a diving area with two diving boards and spectator bleachers to watch competitions. One room over is a smaller, shallow pool for swimming instruction and play.
Only swimsuits can be worn in all the pools—no cutoffs or gym shorts. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
Daily admission: Age 3 and under, $2 Gwinnett resident/$4 non-resident; age 4–10, $4/$8; age 11–49, $5/$10; age 50 and up, $2/$4. Annual passes begin at $144 for Gwinnett residents. Seasonal passes (Memorial Day to Labor Day) start at $75. Proof of residency is required.
Pools are available for rental. Hours and availability vary.
