An extremely peaceful walk & views by the water are amazing. I think we actually kept walking past the end of the trail and came out at someone's private drive way, so pay attention! Lol

Mom and I visited this park to take the dogs for a walk . It's a nice pathway with some pavement and some of it a big long bridge. It's a nice long walk for your dog or to get in some exercise ....

Heritage Park

Heritage Park, which includes two connections to the Silver Comet Trail, was developed so that visitors could gain an understanding of the historic and natural sites within and around the park. The park is partially within the Covered Bridge Historic District, which was impacted by the construction of the East West Connector. Because of this the Cobb County Department of Transportation agreed to acquire and develop 105 acres of passive parkland, which is known as Phase One of Heritage Park. The park also includes Civil War trenches, 14.3 acres of wetland preservation, unique wildlife and the historic ruins of a factory known as the "Woolen Mill." It also includes a 2,560 sq. ft. Nature Interpretive Center, two picnic pavilions, a historic cemetery and a 1.7-mile soft-surface trail.

Thompson Park

Thompson Park is a beautiful park, a setting perfect for playing with the children at one of the park's three playgrounds or peacefully feeding the ducks that reside in the park's pond. The wooded area surrounding the park offers a serene environment. Also, the Thompson Community Center, which has a capacity of 300 people, provides a pleasant gathering place. It is equipped with a banquet room, a meeting room and a kitchen. A regular Jazzercise class is taught at the community center each week. The center can be reserved by a members of the public by contacting the parks and recreation department of Cobb County.
