Founded in 1942, the Floyd Medical Center is a system of health care providers that serves northwest Georgia and northeast Alabama. The center is one of the largest employers in Floyd County, Ga. It has a staff of more than 2,000 employees. The Floyd Medical Center operates a 300-plus-bed facility that provides a range of health care services. It is accredited by The Joint Commission. In addition, the center offers hospice care, outpatient, prenatal, hip resurfacing and imaging services. The Floyd Medical Center is located in Rome, Ga.
