Fitzgerald Public Works is governed by the City of Fitzgerald in Georgia state. It is further divided into sub departments, such as sanitation, parks, evergreen cemetery and shops. The duties of street department include maintenance of street, ditch, alley, sidewalk and storm water. In addition, it also performs right-of-way grass cutting and assists redevelopment of demolished structures. The sanitation department performs duties, such as garbage collection for commercial, residential, industrial customers and picking up debris, household furniture/appliance. City of Fitzgerald also consists departments, including administration, tourism, fire, police and many more.
