Established in 1992, the Fernbank Museum of Natural History is a private, nonprofit organization. It showcases various permanent and special exhibitions, including A Walk Through Time in Georgia, Sensing Nature, Reflections of Culture, World of Shells and Penguins of the Antarctic. Its Giants of the Mesozoic exhibition is dedicated to one of the largest dinosaurs in the world, as well as offers information about pterosaurs. The museum has a store that provides an array of more than 3,000 engaging and educational items, such as science experiment kits, puzzles, coloring books, stuffed animals, T-shirts and dinosaur-related toys. The Fernbank Museum of Natural History also features a great hall, caf , gallery, lobby, IMAX theater, auditorium and conference rooms. Its caf serves sandwiches, salads, pizzas, snacks and beverages. In addition, the museum offers several summer camp programs for adults and children.
