Langdale Fuel Company is a division of Langdale Industries. Langdale Industries mission statement was created in 1955 by Judge Harley Langdale. Although updated, it still continues to be the leading principle of the company. Its mission is to put a better product on the market at a reasonable cost to the consumer and to provide a better market for the landowners and farmers of the area. Every year since the 1930s, Langdale has planted more trees than it has harvested. As of 2001, the company planted its 86 millionth seedling, a feat duplicated by few in the industry.
