HistoryBefore opening 2 Smith Art Gallery, Pam and Larry Smith were selected to be in over 200 juried, outdoor art festivals. They travelled as far west as Austin, south to Miami, FL, North to Madison, WI and east to Virginia Beach. Picking up awards along the way. They have art patrons throughout the US. Along the way they met some of the best artists in the country. They continue to have select artist, display in their gallery. In December, 2012 Pam and Larry decided to open an art gallery to showcase their art, other artists and to teach painting classes. They chose Historic Downtown Duluth, GA. For the past 8 years they have been teaching others the joy of painting. Their classes are perfect for those beginners willing to try something new. And for the experienced artist wanting to improve their skills. Their students are now being recognized as some of the best in the area. For the past two years they have averaged 150 students per year.Specialties2 Smith Art Gallery is an original art and unique gift gallery. The 2 Smith's are Pam Smith and Larry Smith. Both are experienced oil painters. Pam paints portraits of people and pets. Larry paints landscapes. The gallery also features work from 35+ local and regional artists. 2 Smith offers paintings, sculpture, ceramics, fabric, wood and jewelry. Together Pam and Larry teach painting classes. Classes are 3 hours a week for 8 weeks. Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall classes are offered. Plus a workshop in November. The classes are perfect for beginners as well as experienced artists.
