Anne Street Elementary School
Anne Street Elementary School is a part of the Spalding County School System and enrolls more than 360 students in prekindergarten through grade five. It offers various special school activities, programs and events, such as the Georgia Reading First program, accelerated reader, Reading Renaissance, elocution, Angel Tree, K Kids and intraschool broadcasting, a parent-teacher organization and accelerated math courses. Its academic curriculum includes reading, writing and grammar skills, basic science and social studies, math, art and physical education. It also offers its students various sports activities, such as soccer, football, baseball, softball and track. Griffin-Spalding County School System serves more than 10,000 students and has over 1,500 employees. It operates more than 15 elementary, middle and high schools, and all its schools are approved by the Georgia Accrediting Commission and Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
