Current Principal Sean Kelly encourages his students at Chapel Hill High School to Pay It Forward. Just like the movie of the same name, students pledge to have a positive impact on fellow students and others through kindness, thoughtfullness and selflessness. Chapel Hill was one of four Douglas County High Schools to benefit from a U.S. Department of Education grant for $2.8 million over the next three years. The grant will Build Rigor In Douglas to Graduate Every Student (BRIDGES) by engaging students to achieve and preparing them for post-secondary success. The school was built in 1999.
