Opened in 1967, Chapel Hill Elementary School serves more than 700 students in prekindergarten through grade five. The school s curriculum includes classes in English language arts, science, mathematics, music, social studies, and health and physical education. In addition, the school offers lessons in computer applications, reading and writing. Chapel Hill Elementary School also offers food, counseling and health services to its students. The school also organizes a Black History Month in which students, parents and community members raise money to support the United Negro College Fund. The school is a part of the DeKalb County School System and is located in Decatur, Ga.
