The Blue Heron Nature Preserve calls urban dwellers to wilderness adventures with 25 acres encompassing wetlands and a nature trail along Nancy Creek. Hikers can discover native plants and trees and encounter wildlife, such as deer, foxes, beavers, coyotes, muskrats, woodpeckers, turtles, egrets, geese and blue herons. The nature preserve also has a community garden and a meadow, with art and photo exhibits at its building, shared with the Atlanta Audubon Society and the Little Da Vinci International School.
