History
Begun as a bed and breakfast in 2004 this marsh/water front home is owned by innkeepers Bill and Jan Chamberlain who offer unobtrusive hospitality. Bill is a retired research chemist and Jan is a registered nurse. The home was originally built in early 1970 by a rather eccentric Englishman. Later owned by the Vandiver family of Georgia. The Chamberlains purchased their home in 2003. Bill and Jan spent a year making improvements before opening it to the public. Blue Heron Inn is now one of Georgia's top rated B&B's. The original inn burned down in May of 2014 and has been rebuilt with a total new look and every amenity. Completely modern and built to be a B&B.
