Beula Elementary School was established in the early 1880s, even before the Board of Education was created in 1918. In 1930 a new Beula school was built, entirely of brick, and used until 1956. There have been many renovations since 1961, the most recent in the summer of 2009. Beula Elementary offers a cafeteria, a media center, a gymnasium and 28 classrooms. The current principal is Sheila J. Miller, a native of Douglas County and product of the Douglas County School System.
