Augusta National Golf Club is a private course that is located in Augusta, Ga. Augusta National is one of the most famous and exclusive golf clubs in North America, and it is the site of the annual Masters Tournament. The course, which was built in 1933, was designed by Bobby Jones. Many famous designers, including Perry Maxwell, Robert Trent Jones and Jack Nicklaus, have taken turns making changes on the course. Augusta National features a championship 18-hole course and one nine-hole course. In its Top 100 list, Golf Magazine ranks Augusta National as one of the top five courses in the United States.
