The Atlanta Amtrak station is located on Peachtree Street, right on the line between Midtown and Buckhead. Amtrak reaches more than 500 cities and towns in 46 states. The Atlanta station has a welcoming, old-fashioned style consisting of original architecture, high ceilings, arched doorways and low lighting. However, the computerized self-serve ticketing booths along with the numerous vending machines quickly reveal modern times. The station has an outdoor garden waiting area as well as an indoor waiting area with long wooden benches and a few flat-screen televisions. Restrooms and payphones are available during station hours.
