Everest Institute, formally known as Georgia Medical Institute, is a system of for-profit colleges in the United States. The system offers career training programs in various fields, such as accounting, business, criminal justice, health care and paralegal studies. In addition, Everest Institute provides short-term and hands-on career training programs. The system also offers various on-line academic programs. It operates more than 90 colleges, including Bryman College, Ashmead College, Mountain West College, Olympia College, Kee Business College, Parks College, Western Business College, Blair College and Springfield College. It maintains a campus in Norcross, Ga. Everest Institute is owned and operated by Corinthian Colleges, which is one of the largest for-profit, postsecondary education companies in North America. The system serves more than 72,000 students in over 100 campuses in the United States and Canada.
