Alpha Delta Pi, founded in 1851 at Wesleyan Female College in Macon, Ga., is amongst the first societies for women, serving as a sorority system promoting education, scholarship, leadership and service principles of the sisterhood. The sorority has initiated more than 182,500 women through active participation from over 130 collegiate chapters and more than 150 alumnae associations throughout the United States and Canada. Alpha Delta Pi s headquarters in Atlanta provides support to members, partner Greek societies and university officials. It also houses the Alpha Delta Pi Archives, Memorial Gardens, Alpha Delta Pi Foundation and a gift mart.
