A community landmark since 1948, Fire Station No. 25 sits in the heart of the historic Cascade community at Benjamin E. Mays Drive and Beecher Road. The station maintains shifts of eight firefighters, a fire engine (which hauls the water pump) and a fire truck (for ladder, equipment and tools).
The station is one of 36 serving the city. According to the City of Atlanta Fire Department website, the agency handles an average of 125 incidents per day—including fires, rescue, hazardous waste removal, medical services and Homeland Security responses.
