Ace Pole Company, founded in 1964, is a producer of poles that serves investor-owned utilities, cooperatives, municipal utilities and telephone companies from Florida to Ohio. The company has an extensive stock inventory and uses forklifts and boom unloaders in its operations. It works in compliance with the Environmental Protection Agency regulations and is a licensed producer of Wolmanized wood, which is a brand of treated wood. The company combines pressure treatment with waterborne chromated copper arsenate to protect poles against termites and decay. The chromated copper arsenate fixes to the wood and there is no preservative movement out of the pole and within it. This process eliminates the need for groundline remedial treatment of aging poles. Additionally, the poles are treated with oxide formulation for low conductivity and low corrosivity.
