With an expansive collection of gifts old and new, Appointments at Five offers visitors a distinctive shopping experience. Co-owners Kitty Culpepper and Jenny Sligh opened this store in 1987 in Athens' 5 Points neighborhood. They specialize in English and Country French antiques and also offer a Bridal Registry service. The store is quite large, occupying two spacious old houses that are connected by a quaint outdoor walkway, with ample parking in the rear. Every surface, nook and cranny of the shop holds a treasure and each room offers its own themed merchandise. There is a children's gift room with decorative items for the nursery as well as books and toys. Moving through, there is a room with fine women's pajamas, towels and linens and the back a room is dedicated to kitchen items. Upstairs in the main house is the Bridal Registry which offers Wedgwood china, Waterford crystal and more.
