What is tantalizing about this business is the fact that a visit to its headquarters gives nothing away about what it actually does. Set at the short end of an L-shaped office complex and within ding-ding-ding earshot of a railroad crossing that never quiets, A Divine Event uses words such as "sinful" and "wicked" prominently and liberally on its darkened windows. The glass front door announces that visits are by appointments only. It turns out that A Divine Event is no X-rated venture but a catering business specializing in desserts for corporate and formal functions (think wedding receptions and bar mitzvahs). While A Divine Event's menus are heavy on seafood and European-inspired cuisine, they also serve significantly less sinful foods such as ziti, pulled bbq pork, jerk chicken and succotash. Catering is available from Atlanta to Athens.
