Willis Lease Finance Corporation was launched in the mid-1970s by Charles Willis, one of the first entrepreneurs to venture into the then-unheard-of business of jet engine leasing. The company grew from $70 million in assets in 1992 to approximately $552 million in 2005. The core focus of the company is leasing commercial jet engines to passenger airlines, air cargo carriers, and maintenance and repair organizations. The company maintains one of the largest and most diverse portfolios of engines in the aviation industry. Some of the many engines that the company has available for lease include CFM56-7B, 5C, 5B, 5A, 3C, 3B and 2C; CF34; CF6-80 and 50; AE3007A; PW4000 and 2000; PW100; JT8-200; RB211-535; and V2500.
