History
The ministry of University Christian School began in 1965 with one kindergarten class and today continues to thrive as a ministry of University Baptist Church. In 1970, the school expanded to include grades one through six. One year later, land was acquired and facilities were built to accommodate a larger student body. The first graduating class of University Christian School walked the stage in the spring of 1973. Further expansion to the school has continued since that time, including the addition of band and choral rooms, science labs, media center, athletic field house and a new gymnasium. Today, University Christian School serves grades K3-12 with a campus comprised of over 13 acres, centrally located in Jacksonville off I-95 and University Boulevard.
