Bay Haven Charter Academy serves the educational needs of students in grades kindergarten through eight. Established in 2001, the academy serves more than 1,000 students. It is graded as an A School by the Florida Department of Education. The school offers classes in art, music, math, Spanish, physical education, reading, writing and spelling. Harcourt science is the core curriculum at the K-5 level and Prentice-Hall is the curriculum for its middle school. It offers opportunity to students to participate in various extracurricular activities, such as band, chorus, MathCounts, and technology and chess clubs. The school has athletic teams in basketball, volleyball, soccer and baseball. Bay Haven Charter Academy is sponsored by the Bay County School District and is located in Panama City, Fla.
