The Ocala County Chamber of Commerce works in cooperation with more than 500 business and professional firms. The chamber identifies and develops positions and issues for the business community of Florida. A private, nonprofit organization, it was accredited by the United States Chamber of Commerce in 1974. The chamber has more than 1,5000 members. Its committees include membership relations, ambassadors, membership development and services, signature event, government affairs, environmental issues, workforce development, and business services. The chamber also includes agri-business council, leadership and Hispanic business council committees. It provides online information about membership programs, member benefits, legacy trustees and business directory. Additionally, the Ocala County Chamber of Commerce offers various services, such as new resident and visitor information, civic organization directory, telephone book, city and county map distribution, zip code directory, and notary public information.
