Rowlett Elementary, the number one chosen magnet school in Manatee County, offers an emphasis on communications and creativity. Its character building curriculum recently won the Little Red Schoolhouse award. The school offers instruction in TV production and hosts its own weekly interview show run by students. Each grade level is involved in a community project ranging from environmental cleanups to food collections for the needy. An after-school enrichment program includes classes in cheerleading, jewelry making, bowling, Irish dance, yoga, violin and more. Rowlett parents and staff are involved in Habitat for Humanity. This school has a uniform policy.
