Riverside Park is a part of the recreation and parks department of the city of Oviedo in Florida. The park features a junior Olympic swimming pool, racquetball courts, lighted tennis courts and a multipurpose room. It also provides a playground, picnic shelters, pavilions, grills, fields, locker rooms and restrooms. Formally incorporated as a city in 1925 with a population of 800, Oviedo has roots that date back to just after the Civil War in 1865 when homesteaders came to the area along the shores of Lake Jesup to begin new lives. The city additionally operates administrative services, development, finance, fire, human resources, police and public works departments.
