Reclamation Trees is a participatory eco-art project based in Fort Meade, FL, that aims to explore our ability to coexist with the natural world. Through the planting of native trees and the creation of art installations, the project seeks to reclaim and restore the natural beauty of the community, reminding us of what it looked like before urbanization took over.
Presented in coordination with project partners, Reclamation Trees is a unique initiative by FIU College of Architecture The Arts Artist-in-Residence Xavier Cortada. With a focus on reforestation and the preservation of native flora, the project encourages community engagement and environmental awareness through various events, exhibits, and educational programs.
