Rawlings Elementary School is a professional development school located in Pinellas Park, Fla. It serves as a research and development site for Pinellas County Schools and as a training center for other teachers. Established in 1992, the school also houses the Janie Guilbault Publishing Center where young writers develop their writing skills. Rawlings Elementary School has an enrollment of more than 650 students in kindergarten through grade five. Its curriculum focuses on writing and literacy skills. The school also offers courses in math, science, health, art, music and social studies. Its art program focuses on the development of basic art skills, creative thinking, self-expression and art appreciation. The school additionally provides gifted education for eligible students.
