Plantation Key School, established in 1976 and located in Tavernier, Fla., provides students a safe learning environment for learning. Governed by the Monroe County School District, it teaches classes from grades kindergarten through eight, and enrolls more than 650 students with a teacher-to-student ratio of 1-to-16. Its curriculum includes language arts, speech and reading, social studies, math, science, physical and health education, English, music and art, and technology education. The school provides a wide range of activities and programs, including day care program, National Honor Society, Odyssey of the Mind, organizations and associations, intramural sports, parent-teacher association, field trips, and outdoor activities. Plantation Key School is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
