History
In 2003, Roberto & Claudia Guerios started the pirate trend in Fort Lauderdale with the opening of the Pirate Republic store on the beach off Las Olas & A1A, following with the Pirate Bar right next door a year later. The store offered 2,000 pirate items from flags to shirts and the bar had become an attraction for locals and visitors from around the world. In 2010, that location was closed to open The Pirate Republic Seafood & Grill in historic downtown with plenty of docking for sailors and free parking for the landlubbers. The Pirate Republic is perfect for date night or a day out with the family.
