See the cut? Most of the cuts look like this...like it was done by an inexperienced carpenter.

Jordan added 2 treads to my stairs, changing the entire structure. He said the wood is red oak and stained.

The first tread installed with the round edge to the back. The round edge is to face the front. See the 2nd tread.

See the groove? It is to face downward. This is the top rail of my balcony.

Under sides of my treads are not stained with anything...raw pine.
