This African American Mennonite Church is home to multiple generations of worshipers. United in love of Christ and honest living, the chapel has been an important part of the community for many years. Historically, African American Mennonite Churches were organized in the late 1890's to counter racism and poverty. They have evolved into a significant part of the Mennonite community, and some have branched out on their own. The New Town Gospel Chapel continues to teach the word of God, the Bible as its authority and to provide support in the community for those in need.
