Sunrise School of Miami, founded in 2005, is a not-for-profit independent school that provides the Waldorf curriculum, a unique and excellent liberal arts education to students from early childhood through eighth grade. Located in the city of Miami, Sunrise School of Miami welcomes students of all socio-economic, religious and ethnic backgrounds from throughout the Miami Broward area. We educate our students to become free-thinking adults who are able to impart purpose and direction to their lives and who will offer new solutions for the problems of our age. Sunrise School of Miami strives for intellectual freedom, artistic creativity and a sense of social responsibility. Middle school graduates of Sunrise School of Miami carry with them into the world the capacities of wonder, gratitude and integrity out of which they are able to serve the larger community with flexible thinking, moral courage and skillful purposeful work. The faculty and staff of Sunrise School of Miami are made up of dedicated women and men who strive to serve as a model of partnership and cooperation. We are dedicated to the conscious evolution and development of the whole human being. The growing child is the heart of our work. Our school is a community of children, teachers, parents, family and friends joined in a celebration of life and education.
