The Lakeland Regional Medical Center is a nonprofit facility that has served Lakeland and the surrounding communities in Florida for more than 80 years. It is licensed for more than 850 beds and is fully accredited by the Joint Commission. The center offers a variety of early detection and education programs, as well as primary and specialized care. The Lakeland Regional Medical Center also supports a senior care program that provides physician referral services, health screenings and immunizations, community education programs, quarterly senior newsletter, volunteer opportunities and health information. It operates the Lakeland Regional Medical Center Foundation, which develops resources that support medical and cancer centers in providing access to health care services.
