Joseph E. Panoff, M.D., is a board-certified radiation oncologist specializing in breast cancer at Miami Cancer Institute, part of Baptist Health South Florida. He serves as associate professor of Radiation Oncology at Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine at Florida International University. Dr. Panoff earned his medical degree at the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine. He completed radiation oncology residencies at Jackson Memorial Hospital as well as at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, where he served as chief resident. Dr. Panoff utilizes the latest technologies and techniques to treat breast cancer with radiation therapy while sparing normal, healthy tissue. He collaborates with the institute’s multidisciplinary cancer care team to coordinate the most effective treatments while limiting side effects. Dr. Panoff has shared his clinical knowledge and research findings in peer-reviewed medical journals and at healthcare symposiums. He is a member of the Radiation Therapy Oncology Group and American Society for Radiation Oncology. The physician-patient relationship is extremely important to Dr. Panoff. He provides patient-centered care and treats patients like they are family members. In his spare time, Dr. Panoff enjoys eFoiling, spearfishing and being a dad.
