History

On September 21 1964 the Florida Board of Parks and Historic Memorials acquired approximately 356 acre property that constituted the initial area of Grayton Beach State Park. The park opened to the public in 1968. There were more land acquisitions, for the park's use and preservation, in 1985,1993, and 1995.

Beautiful place for family gatherings and photos. The park ranger was sweet and helpful. Enjoyed the ambiance of the park plus the beach was nice and clean.
