The Youth Crisis Center is a nonprofit organization serving as a shelter for runaway youths. It was established in 1974 and is located in Jacksonville, Fla. It offers a wide range of programs for the runaway youths, including safe place, residential, family link and special needs assistance programs. The center s residential program provides short-term shelter care and counseling to more than 1,500 troubled children in the age group of 10 to 17 years.
