Flanigan s sells approximately 1 million pounds of ribs a year. During the 1970s, Flanigan s was known as a chain of nightclubs located in seven states. By the end of the next decade, Flanigan s had evolved into a casual dining restaurant concentrating in the southern regions of Florida. The restaurant s baby back ribs, which are flame-broiled and hickory-smoked, outnumbers the sales of the rest of Flanigan s menu items by a 3 to 1 margin. The restaurant is also known for its Angus burgers, fresh seafood, pasta dishes and large salad portions. Headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Flanigan s operates restaurants in cities such as Stuart, Fla.
