The Florida Division of Emergency Management maintains the State Emergency Operations Center in Tallahassee in Florida. The division also conducts damage assessment surveys. It operates State Warning Point, which is an emergency communications center. The Florida Division of Emergency Management administers various mitigation programs. The division also maintains information management and natural and technological hazard sections. It is a part of the government of the state of Florida.
