After moving to southwest Florida in the mid 1990's, his found himself in a house loaded with an alarm system, speakers, sprinklers, lighting controls, cables and phone jacks everywhere - and no one knew how any of it worked, how it was wired, what breaker turned off what outlet. It was chaos. Using his design and documentation skills, he mapped out the systems and used it to advise the cable and phone service people on how to connect everything.
