History
Cook Bayou Marina was purchased by the current owner in 1997. It was an existing marina at that time, but was in a bad state of repair. The marina has a convenience store, boat slips, and a campground area. After a lot of hard work, The DawgHouse Tiki Bar opened in 1998 as a place for locals to hangout and enjoy beer and the bayou! The owner's background is in the restaurant business and it has been his dream to serve food at the DawgHouse from it's inception. At the end of 2014 the DawgHouse at Cook Bayou Marina opened for food service on Fridays (4pm-12am), Saturdays (12pm-12am) and Sundays (12pm-10pm). The bar is open the rest of the week from 4pm-11pm and the marina and marina store are open at 8AM each day except Thursdays (4PM). Come and join us for gourmet burgers, raw and stuffed oysters, nachos, quesadillas and the coldest beer around -- all served up in a friendly manner in a casual, outdoor atmosphere. Best sunsets ever! Look for specials & events on FaceBook.
