The Council of Academic Deans from Research Education Institutions (CADREI) is an esteemed assembly of deans of education from research and land grant institutions across North America. With a membership of over 150 institutions, CADREI aims to enhance the preparation of education personnel and foster discussions and plans to improve the effectiveness of member institutions. As a non-profit and apolitical organization, CADREI collaborates with various educational associations and organizations to further its mission.
CADREI, originally known as the Association of Colleges and Schools of Education in State Universities and Land Grant Colleges and Affiliated Private Universities, has expanded its reach to include the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, establishing a North American presence. Several CADREI member institutions are also affiliated with prominent educational associations, such as AACTE, AERA, and APA. Additionally, the organization is recognized by the Carnegie Corporation for its commitment to Teachers for a New Era (TNE) initiatives.
