History
We are now considered one of the landmark reform congregations in the country. With nearly 1,000 families, a religious school serving over 600 students, and early childhood programs considered one of the finest in the nation, Congregation B'nai Israel, or CBI, is more than just a synagogue. We strive to educate and inspire our children, youth, and adults. We encourage our members to actively participate in worship and Torah study. We urge our members to contribute to the continuance and vitality of the Jewish people, to participate in our celebrated social action and philanthropic initiatives, and to commit to Tikkun Olam...repairing the world. Our services, led by our Rabbis, are innovative and diverse and are filled with song, joy, and spirituality. Music is at the heart of what we do, with musical Shabbats and programs led by our Cantor.
