The Code Enforcement Division works under the Manatee County government, Fla. It is responsible for the enforcement of the county land development codes and lots mowing. The division responds to more than 10,000 complaints annually in the unincorporated areas of the county covering over 700 square miles. The Code Enforcement Division offers services related to businesses from residential homes, agricultural animals, overgrown lots, outdoor storage, and commerical and junk vehicles. In addition, it performs functions regarding prohibited signs, restricted vehicles, building permits, and trash and debris. Located in Bradenton, Fla., the division also offers a variety of neighborhood services, such as nuisance abatement, neighborhood planning, community development, rapid response and economic development.
