The Citrus Memorial Health System is a 190-plus-bed private, nonprofit community hospital that provides health care services to the residents of Citrus County and surrounding communities in Florida. It offers cardiac catheterization, endoscopy, general and laparoscopic surgery, neurological, orthopedic and pulmonary services. The hospital also provides pediatric, radiation therapy, urological, vascular and 24-hour emergency services. Its diagnostic services include CT scan, ultrasound, X-ray, magnetic resonance imaging, mammography and nuclear medicine. In addition, the Citrus Memorial Health System offers diabetes management, nutritional counseling and community education services. The hospital maintains a staff of more than 150 physicians and over 1,000 employees. Founded in 1957, the Citrus Memorial Health System is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. It is located in Inverness, Fla.
