CARP is a nonprofit organization that provides professional addiction services for adolescent, adult and elderly persons throughout Palm Beach, Martin and St. Lucie counties in Florida. Its services include prevention, intervention, assessment, social and medical detoxification, residential treatment, outpatient treatment, aftercare and educational services. All services are linked together under a single administration at the comprehensive service campus in West Palm Beach, Fla. Additional services are also provided in other treatment facilities throughout Palm Beach, Martin and St. Lucie counties. CARP s operations include a total of 175 available beds in the medical detoxification and residential programs, 12 homeless assesment program beds and 540 available outpatient treatment slots. CARP. is funded through private donations and special events, as well as through the Florida Department of Children and Families; the Florida Department of Corrections; the Martin County Board of County Commissioners; Palm Beach County; Palm Beach County Community Chest-United Way; Palm Beach County School District; Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office; United Way of Palm Beach County, United Way of Martin County and United States Department of Federal Probation.
