Founded in 1979, Community Hospice of Northeast Florida is a nonprofit organization is one of the largest hospice care facilities in the state of Florida. It provides end-of-life care services for adults and children suffering with various life-limiting illnesses. The agency serves nearly 1,000 patients throughout Clay, Duval, Nassau and St. Johns counties. Community Hospice of Northeast Florida has more than 700 employees and over 900 volunteers. It offers services in homes and long-term care facilities. The agency operates the Earl B. Hadlow Center for Caring, George and Margaret Morris Center for Caring, and Dr. Gaston J. Acosta-Rua Center for Caring. Community Hospice of Northeast Florida provides medications and medical supplies and equipment. It offers assistance with various personal care needs, such as bathing, changing linens and feeding.
