Established in 1962, the Cape Coral Fire Department provides a variety of fire safety and prevention programs to the general public. It operates more than 10 fire stations, as well as consists of special operations, administration, training, inspection and life safety divisions. The department offers life, property and environment protection services. It additionally provides fire intervention, public education and safety awareness programs. The department offers hurricane preparedness, emergency medical and water rescue services. It provides fire inspection and investigation services for residential and commercial properties.
